Phil, consumer pressure is the only thing that forces companies to actually change their business practices. If there’s enough of an outcry, if enough people email EA telling them how they feel then yeah, a change will happen eventually.

]]>Even with stat paddings servers it takes a _long_ time to get the highest rank or the weapons you’d like to reach. So what? It takes years of non-stats-padding otherwise.
Also, I doubt players play for stats, Battlefield 2 have gone relativley old in the current generation of games. So I doubt those “I-wanna-be-the-number-one”-enthusiasts no longer plays BF2 for the stats. Most plays for the sake of fun and team tactics needed to win.
Also those unlockable weapons brings an extreme overpowerness to some players in the game.
