With game servers becoming increasingly resource hungry, only the fastest hardware will do for hosting your game server. Over the years, we've become experts in picking the best hardware to host game servers. As standard the following server specification is used host your game servers:- Dell Poweredge server chassis
- Intel Quad Core Xeon X3220 (4 x 2.4GHz cores)
- 8GB DDR2 RAM
- 500GB hard disks
- 1000mbit network links to all servers
- Custom-compiled Linux kernel
While many game server providers put together cheap unreliable desktop computers, all our servers are hosted in state of the art server class cases, with optimum cooling and reliabilty in mind. No expense is spared to deliver the best in server quality, reliability, and uptime.
Our network
Through our upstream provider, extensive peering across Europe to deliver the lowest gaming pings and best in latency. Our gigabit (1000mbit) Cisco network leaves no room for performance drop even during peak gaming hours. Each rack takes a gigabit (1000mbit) link back to our core network. We utilise an all Cisco network, Cisco Catalyst 3750 series managing our core network, with each rack running Cisco 3550 series. The network diagram below has been designed to demonstrate how our network is connected.
